Kids in Carnival on Johny Mee’s Island

Writer's picture: John Q.John Q.

Everyone loves carnivals, especially kids. These are the activities we hope to return to shortly. The pictures were taken on a hot Saturday morning, in 2020. The kids had a great time.

Kiddies Carnival is also the theme for book 5 of the Johny Mee’s Island adventure series.

Street parades are popular all over the world, but they’re normally reserved for adults. They make all the rules - after all. Sometimes, kids get to have a little fun as well.

The 2020 Kiddies Carnival takes place before the main Carnival festivities. This is usually in the month of February - wintertime in the Northern hemisphere. But in the Caribbean, its always tropical and warm.

So, let’s set the stage for the event. The kids in the montage are under the watchful eyes of a team of grown-ups. They are energized and hydrated.

With camera in hand, let’s follow them on the streets of Port of Spain.

So now, we’re all set to go.

On Johny Mee’s Island, there’s so much to see and do. Lets take a walk around the city and take in the fun and excitement.
